Flight Instructor (Gray Eagle MQ-1C)
Fort Huachuca, AZ
Provides instruction to military personnel in both flight simulators and actual flight operations to train personnel in the operation of the Gray Eagle UAS. Instruction includes:
Capabilities, emergency procedures, limitation and and system logic of the Gray Eagle UAS and its payloads.
Procedures for takeoff, landing, and tactical employment of the Gray Eagle UAS.
Fundamentals and application of Air Crew Coordination - Enhanced (ACT-E).
Fundamentals and conduct of the Gray Eagle UAS Missions with emphasis on route, zone, and area reconnaissance; aerial surveillance; and employment of Gray Eagle in attack missions.
Fundamentals of Mission Planning and Approval Process to include the METT-TC; Risk Assessment; and Performance Planning.
Familiarization with National Airspace - restricted areas and class D airspace - and ATC phraseology.
Minimum of five years' experience in UAS training, training development, and operations.
Must be able to maintain a Class II FAA Aviation Flight Physical.
Desired experience with Gray Eagle UAS.
Current knowledge of UAS Operations
Experience with AR 95-23 requirements specific to training in the operation of Gray Eagle UAS.
