Air Category Lead
What You'll Do: In this role, you will be leading the Airline Sourcing offering from 4D. This means owning the process from start to finish, which will include driving the completion of a proprietary airline sourcing tool. You will maintain exceptional relationship with airlines and be working with clients and internal stakeholders during various aspects of the RFP process and ongoing performance management. Manage and coordinate Airline Request for Proposal (RFP) projects from clients and internal teams. This includes organizing data collection, input, managing timelines and developing end-result presentations to client. Lead the on-going improvement and maintenance of proposal process. Ensure timely load of updates into RFP database. Capture input from Sourcing and Program Management teams, along with client Account Managers to preserve timely content. Standardize proposal/SOW templates by leveraging style guides, consistent messaging, relevant industry content and ensuring product / service content is always up-to-date. Direct completion of internal airline sourcing tool development, with short-, medium- and long-term vision and deliverables. Pursue automation within current process by leveraging various tools and provide closed-loop feedback to ensure continuous process optimization. Proactively stay on top of 4D key capabilities, product offerings, competitors and market knowledge via websites, online webinars, and marketing information. Acquire, consolidate and analyze competitive data through team and external sources. Collaborate with Sourcing and Project Management teams to establish on-going competitive analysis and best practices. Work with team to publish relevant competitive offering details to global Sales team.
What you need to be successful in this role: B.A./B.S. plus 8 years airline analytics or sourcing experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Demonstrated experience in an internal or external customer service capacity, with a positive, can-do attitude. Industry experience in B2B environment, particularly with pricing a plus. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with excellent Word and Excel skills. SQL and Microsoft BI experience a plus. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. The discipline to work alone and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, high performance team (with Sales, Account Management, Technology, and other departments). Analytical in approach with the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects while maintaining an eye for detail. Strong presentation and content development skills. Ability to think on your feet, develop and communicate insight.
